Can we truly listen across our differences?

What happens when neighbors come together to truly listen across their differences?

Earlier this year in Wilkesboro, North Carolina, Aspen Institute Civil Society Fellow LB Prevette and Weave Community Liaisons Greg Brady invited neighbors into conversation about what matters to them most, making space for the hard and necessary conversations that weave a community together.

The event was part of the Civil Society Fellowship’s Town Hall initiative, a national effort, led by Civil Society Fellows, to create spaces where people across differences can come together to share hopes, fears, and visions for the future of their community and country. By amplifying these conversations, the Aspen Institute aims to inspire communities across the United States to engage in solutions-oriented dialogue and build bridges across divides.
