About the Event

The Bayer Center is hosting our annual open house for the public as part of the Aspen Institute’s Community Celebration commemorating its 75th anniversary. Our current exhibition, Sculpting the Environment: The Three-Dimensional Art of Herbert Bayer, spans over six decades of Bayer’s career and is the most comprehensive overview of the artist as a sculptor and landscape designer.

Join co-curators Koko Bayer and Adam Thomas for a conversation about Sculpting the Environment: The Three-Dimensional Art of Herbert Bayer, moderated by our Executive Director, Lissa Ballinger. This conversation occurred on July 26, 2025 as part of the Bayer Center’s annual Open House and in celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Aspen Institute.
