The National Commission’s Youth Commission and Parent Advisory Panel have developed Calls to Action that articulate the urgent need for schools and communities to support students’ comprehensive development. These Calls to Action will be released April 6, 9:00am-11:45am ET at the new Aspen Institute Headquarters in Washington, DC (2300 N Street, NW).

Show your support by signing on here!

Participants in the event will include Commissioners, Governor Terry McAuliffe, Karen Pittman, Tim Shriver, and Council of Distinguished Educators members, Shayne Evans and Roberta Duvall. The participants along with representatives of the Youth Commission and Parent Advisory Panel will delve into their Calls to Action, share their perspectives, and discuss the implications of these Calls to Action for the Commission’s work and the work of schools and communities across the nation. The event will conclude with an invitation to partners and individuals to sign on to these Calls to Action.
