Ariana Arana Bermudez

Community Advisory Group Member

Ariana is a first-generation Nicaraguan American, born and raised in San Francisco’s Mission District. Growing up in a culturally diverse and artistically vibrant community, she developed an early passion for the arts and social justice. She is deeply committed to exploring how law and public service can serve as tools to create meaningful change in marginalized communities, particularly for low-income youth of color.

Ariana most recently graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in legal studies and a minor in ethnic studies. She currently works at MyPath, a San Francisco based financial justice nonprofit, as the Youth Program Associate. This year, she is supporting MyPath’s POWER Leaders in spearheading a refresh of the Youth Economic Bill of RYTS, a youth-authored document that identifies and proposes solutions to the most pressing financial challenges facing young people across the country.

Beyond her work at MyPath, Ariana serves on the board of the transnational artistic nonprofit organization Chavalos de Aquí y Allá and is thrilled to continue learning, growing, and contributing as a new member of the Aspen Institute Financial Security Program’s Community Advisory Group.
