Jon manages the earned media division of the Aspen Institute’s Communications and Marketing team. Responsible for raising the overall media profile of the Institute, Jon leads media strategy and outreach on key initiatives and messaging campaigns. Jon directly engages reporters to amplify the Institute’s work and experts while supporting programs in their own outreach efforts. He also oversees earned media for the Institute’s high-profile public events, including the Aspen Ideas Festival, the Aspen Security Forum, Aspen Ideas: Climate, and the Global Inclusive Growth Summit.

Previously, Jon served as the Director of Marketing and Publicity at Politics and Prose, a prestigious regional bookstore chain in Washington, DC, known for organizing high profile author events across the city. Originally from the UK, Jon worked as a book publicist on behalf of a range of publishers in London, arranging press coverage for new releases and author tours. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from King’s College London.
