Kristina co-directs the Creative Services Division of the Communications and Marketing Department, an in-house services agency for the Institute’s projects and programs. Previously, she led the editorial strategy and content creation team at the organization, launching the In Focus and Aspen Ignites series. Kristina also founded and heads up the company’s Women’s Affinity Group.
Before joining the Institute in 2020, she led the digital team at Collaborative Communications Group, managing projects ranging from website redesign and digital tool development and content creation. Kristina previously started and led her own strategic communications practice, called Partner + Purpose, and held leadership positions at the Donnell-Kay Foundation, Colorado Succeeds, and GreatSchools. She loves to create, write, and tell stories, something she did for nearly a decade as a reporter and producer at the PBS NewsHour, Colorado Public Radio, and Aspen Public Radio.
She has a Masters in Nonprofit Management from Regis University, an MFA in Fiction from Randolph College, and a Bachelors degree from Colby College. A DC-area native, she lived in Colorado for 15 years before settling back in the nation’s capital.
