To make widespread financial security a reality in the United States, we need to empower individuals and communities to create and keep their own wealth.
Disparities exist across race, gender, generations, and geographies. To move families from “getting by” to flourishing requires that we reimagine not only all the types of wealth available, but also all the ways people can grow it. We believe this level of holistic innovation will help build measurable and meaningful wealth for everyone, and especially for households of color and those in the bottom half of the wealth distribution.
What We Do
Aspen FSP works with cross-sector leaders to create and expand pathways for wealth building.
Expanding Asset Ownership
Our goal is to 10x wealth for the households that need it most. To do that, we work with innovators to expand access to assets that generate powerful rates of return for households and move America toward an ownership economy.
Building an ownership economy requires that we look beyond traditional assets like home ownership and investment accounts to identify and grow new ownership models. Our collaboration and research has highlighted emerging solutions, such as inclusive commercial real estate.
The Wealth Innovation Cohort Fellows are a select group of leaders developing and replicating models to democratize ownership of commercial and mixed-use real estate in communities across America. Each leader has a demonstrated track record of expanding access to real estate ownership in their respective communities and a commitment to radically expanding ownership opportunities for low-wealth and communities across the country.
